Sam Carrell of Lynbrook, New York and Danielle Costello of East Rockaway, New York are the Winners!!!! The tap dancing gals won 'Best Dance Duet" on Sunday, August 31, 2003 at the “Reach For The Stars Talent Search" sponsored by Nassau County.

The dancers performed a tap routine to Bring In 'Da Noise, Bring In 'Da Funk" choreographed by Joan MacNaughton of Leggz Ltd. Dance.

They were judged by a celebrity panel including Rocker Joan Jeff, actress Cathy Moriarty, Producer Kenny Laguna, Conductor Scoff Jackson Wiley and NYC Talent Agent Karen Apicella. The show was also hosted by Adrienne Nardo Watson of Fox 5 "Good Day NY".

Sam and Danielle are both members of the prestigious Leggz Ltd Dance Ensemble of Rockville Centre, New York and are no strangers to performing. Some of their annual performances include; Walt Disney World; Orange Bowl Halftime Show, Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, NYC Columbus Day Parade, Madison Square Garden and the full length Nutcracker Ballet with a live orchestra.

The girls were so excited when they won. The other contestants competing were from Brooklyn, Queens Nassau County and Suffolk County What an accomplishment! The highlight of the evening, besides being the “Best”, was meeting the celebrity judges that voted them the "Best". The judges told them that they were on fire, so in sync and just terrific. This is an evening that they wilt never forget!

Sam and Danielle danced their feet off and Showed Plaza everyone what "hoofing" is. They even incorporated some break dancing into their routine. They are a talented duo that not only love to dance, but live for dance!
