The 32nd Annual, 2011 Leggz Ltd. Dance -  Danny Ruvolo Memorial Dance Scholarship Award was awarded on Saturday June 3, 2011 to Ashley Schmidt of Hewlett, New York. 

 A dancer at Leggz Ltd  Dance in Rockville Centre New York, Ashley has been dancing at Leggz since the age of 3.  Ashley studies tap, jazz, ballet, theatre jazz and hip hop and has performed with the Leggz Ltd. Dance Ensemble in Walt Disney World, World Team Tennis at Randall’s Island, Brooklyn Cyclones, and many other community/charity events throughout the East Coast.  Ashley’s dedication shows.  She will be attending Pace University in the Fall and will continue to be a part of the Leggz Ltd. Dance Ensemble throughout the year, commuting from College to all her performances with the Leggz dancers. 
       
The Award is in honor of Danny Ruvolo, a Leggz dancer and original cast member of the Broadway show A Chorus Line.  He also was the lead dancer in the movie “All That Jazz”.
