On August 31, Sam Carrell of Lynbrook, NY, and Danielle Costello of East Rockaway, NY, swept the Reach for the Stars Talent Search with their tap routine to "Bring in 'Da Noise, Bring In 'Da Funk." The duet was choreographed by Joan MacNaughton of Leggz Ltd Dance in Rockville Center, NY.

The contestants were judged by a celebrity panel that included rock star Joan Jett, actress Cathy Moriaty, producer Kenny Laguna, conductor Scott Jackson Wiley and NYC talent agent Karen Apicella. The show was also hosted by "Good Day NY" host Nardo Watson. Reach for the Stars Talent Search was sponsored by Nassau County and featured dancers from Brooklyn, Queens, and Nassau and Suffolk Counties on Long Island.

Sam and Danielle showcased their skills by demonstrating superior hoofing and even incorporating some break dance moves into their routine. They're no strangers to the stage, considering their extensive performance experience that includes shows at Walt Disney World, Orange Bowl Half-Time, Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, NYC Columbus Day Parade, MadisonSquare Garden, and the Nutcracker Ballet. Congratulations, girls!
